WOW Arena Season 5 Begins on December 17th

Cheers! WOW Arena Season 5 will Begin on December 17th.

Gnorog on the EU forums posted notice a while ago that Season 4 is over. That means that all arena teams and ratings have been cleared, and arena charter NPCs have been disabled.

Your arena points will stay with you until you reach level 71 however.

But the end of Season 4 isn't the news.

WOW Arena Season 5 will begin on December 17th for those players that have reached level 80. That's just a few days away. For those that haven't, the skirmish brackets of 71-75 and 76-80 are available. The time is now to start organizing your arena teams and get them in gear for the upcoming events.

With all the changes in Wrath the next arena season promises to be interesting. Here's to bigger and better weapons! cheers !

Warhammer 1.1 patch is Alive

Hurray!!!Warhammer 1.1 patch is Alive!

The folks over at Mythic have been epically busy on patches and fixes for Warhammer Online of late. On Tuesday, we reported on warhammer patch 1.0.6, which brought tons of changes for classes and combat. Now it seems the RvR performance issues are getting some of their previously-promised love in the form of a client update to help boost frame rate and reduce flickering effects... And warhammer patch 1.1 is live on the test server with the intention of releasing today.

With a whopping 14 pages of patch notes and development preceding that of warhammer 1.0.6 patch , patch 1.1 warhammer promises to bring updates to nearly all aspects of the game. There will be new careers available, UI changes, the ability to hyperlink in chat, and most excitingly the new open RvR influence system. You can even get a statue of your character put up in the capital. Strike a pose!

On the flip side, since warhammer patch 1.1 was begun prior to the release of 1.0.6, the developers are quick to point out that it is not meant to address any issues arising from the most recent patch. Several hot fixes already went in yesterday to regular and public quests to make them function as designed since 1.0.6 warhammer patch. There are new healers in the Dark Elf and High Elf Chapter One areas and one in the Black Crag Order war camp as well. And you should not be getting incorrect zone messages anymore either. Just don't expect warhammer 1.1 patch to fix all the Warhammer world's ills.

LOL! Warhammer 1.0.6 patch adds new classes, tidal wave of updates

All those Warhammer Online players who where playing along with the warhammer Heavy Metal event in November will be happy to know that today the fruits of their labor has arrived. That's right: Today, Mythic brings us Black Guards and Knights of the Blazing Sun! For those who didn't finish the full Heavy Metal event warhammer, don't worry, the classes will become available to everyone next week. Servers are going down at 3:30AM PST / 6:30AM EST for North American players with Oceanic servers following at 9:00AM EST. No specific time-frame was given for the updating process, so we'll just have to sit tight and wait it out.

New classes aren't the only thing found in this patch, however. There's a ton of general game updates, performance updates, bug fixes and class tweaks coming with the warhmmer 1.0.6 patch, too. In fact, there are so many class tweaks that Bright Wizards, Chosen, Engineers, Ironbreakers, Maguses (Magi?), Shadow Warriors, Sorcerers, Squig Herders and Swordmasters are all getting their mastery points refunded. Combat also seems to be a big focus, with a ton of improvements to auto-attack animations, ability responsiveness, morale responsiveness and root responsiveness.

All in all, we're pretty impressed with Mythic on this 1.0.6 warhammer patch, as it delivers some substantial changes that many players have been waiting to see.

Warhammer Update 1.0.6 Notes Released

Exciting WAR news: Warhammer Update 1.0.6 Notes Released today,read the news here.

The warhammer 1.06 update you've all been waiting for is almost here! We wanted to thank everyone who tested and provided feedback on this update's content.

On Tuesday, 12/2/08 all servers will be brought offline to begin the 1.0.6 update warhammer . North American servers will be brought down at 6:30AM EST with Oceanic servers to follow at 9:00AM EST.

This is our biggest update yet! It's chock-full of exciting career changes and heralds the debut of the highly anticipated Black Guard and Knight of the Blazing Sun careers. If you've finished the Heavy Metal event and have opened your Heavy Metal Chest, then you will be able to play a Black Guard and Knight of the Blazing Sun when this patch goes live (before anyone else!). For those of you who did not complete the Heavy Metal event, don't fret! You, too, will be able to play these two new careers starting next week.

This 1.0.6 warhammer update is so massive that we needed to split the notes into two sections. So, without further ado, on with the notes! WAAAGH!!!
